RATES
The following special
Thrifty Car Rental categories and rates can be reserved exclusively
through Joseph D. Pluta.
These rates are quoted
in U.S. Dollars at NET, are non-commissionable, and subject to 4.17% Hawaii
state tax. Rates do not include the $3.00 motor vehicle surcharge tax
per day which is required by Hawaii Law and the 7.5% (neighbor islands)
to 10% (Oahu) airport tax to be charged directly to the car renter at
the time of rental.
Insurance will be paid
directly to Thrifty car rental.
Weekly rates are based on rentals of 7 consecutive days on the island
of Maui. Additional days revert to the daily net rental rate. No Prorating.

ALL THE RATES ABOVE ARE SUBJECT TO HAWAII GENERAL EXCISE TAX (GET), Currently
4.166% on Neighbor Islands and 4.712% on Oahu. Weekly rates are based
on rentals of six (6) or seven (7) continuous days on one island. Additional
days beyond the seven revert back to the daily rates and are not pro-rated
based on the weekly rate. The GET will be payable directly by renter at
Thrifty Counter as well as Optional Insurance. In addition, these rates
do not include the State Motor Vehicle Rental Surcharge of $3.00 per rental
day (or any portion thereof), Vehicle Licensing Fee from $.18 to $.50
per day, The Airport Concession Recovery Fee (5.26% at Thrifty's Lihue,
Hilo and Kona airports and 8.1% at Kahului airport location) or any other
such charges as may be imposed on the rental car transactions as required
by State Law which will be charged directly to the renter at the time
of rental. These rates also do not include any optional insurance coverages
which will be offered by Thrifty a the time of rental such as Loss Damage
Waiver (LDW), Personal Protection Plan (PPI), Supplemental Liability Insurance
(SLI), and Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP). When calling Thrifty Directly
to take advantage of these special rates above, you must mention promotional
code#2149.
